Brothers Tom "TJ" B. Adams III and Jamie Fussell have been elected to serve on the College of Argicultural and Life Sciences College Council. For 2009-2010, Brother Adams will serve as President; and, Brother Fussell will serve as Treasurer. In addition, Brother Jason Cornman has been re-elected to serve as a representative in the Student Senate. The Alpha Gamma Chapter is proud and supports their dedication to helping the student body by service to the college council. About the Agricultural and Life Sciences College Council ALSCC exists to promote better understanding between faculty and students of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS), stimulate cooperation between students, faculty, and departmental organizations in IFAS, increase public knowledge and understanding of the status, achievements and goals of IFAS at the University of Florida, stimulate interest in the agricultural sciences, and provide programs of interest and relevance to the student body of the College of Agriculture. About the Student Senate The purpose of the Senate is to closely represent the views and ideas of the 50,000+ students here at the University of Florida. The Student Senate performs tasks ranging from confirming Executive and Judicial appointments to passing Student Body Laws, Authorizations, and Resolutions. The Senate is also responsible for allocating the activity and service fees each year, which is currently well over 13 million dollars.
